Frequently Asked Questions

Is there FASD training I can point professionals toward?

National FASD has launched new e-learning platform. Our “Introduction to FASD” e-learning is now available – the course takes 3.5 hours and is CPD accredited. Second tier courses will follow. We are currently creating an e-course for midwives.

We also have rolled out a 1-day training, “Supporting Children and Young People with FASD” that was co-created with the Seashell as part of our partnership grant funded by the Department of Health. This course is for professionals working with young people with FASD.

We also jointly offer a 3-day “Me and My FASD” training with Seashell, designed for practitioners helping children and  young people to understand and own the diagnosis. Attendees receive a “Me and My FASD toolkit”.

Information  about our trainings is available here.

All our trainings are based on the Best Practice in FASD Training  Guide and the FASD: Preferred UK Language Guide.

Bespoke training is offered by many of the FASD UK Alliance groups: www.fasd-uk.net.

National FASD will at times help organise larger-scale events that reach a wide range of people. Please contact us if you would like to explore this further. We also can suggest speakers for events.
